From an attorney or trustee perspective, default loan management can be complicated and overwhelming. Adding statutory, regulatory and investor compliance guidelines on top of day-to-day business rules and internal operating procedures requires expensive resources and time-intensive oversight. Timeline pressures, external variables coupled with an ever-changing landscape in the default loan servicing industry create even greater challenges.

CaseMax History

The Global Financial Crisis of 2007–2008 is considered by many economists to be the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression of the 1930s. It resulted in the threat of total collapse of large financial institutions, the bailout of banks by national governments and downturns in stock markets around the world. The housing market also suffered, resulting in elevated evictions, foreclosures and prolonged unemployment. As the housing bubble burst, the loan default rate spiked and servicers were forced into a new landscape of loan servicing. Law firms were suddenly thrust into unchartered territory of audits, compliance and accountability.

By that time, CaseMax had already marked its 7th anniversary since implementation in both a judicial and non-judicial state. Building on its solid foundations and having been user-tested time and time again, CaseMax has evolved into a robust and uniquely positioned case management system that few, if any, competing products can even come close to matching.
