MODIFY WORK QUEUE

SEND AND RECEIVE MESSAGES
Vendorscape: Just like the title says, this Feature enables law firms to create and send a message to Vendorscape, to receive and reply to a message from Vendorscape, and to manage when replies are required. Messaging is only supported with Vendorscape because Tempo does not support the same structure for messages and BKFS does not support messages at all. This transaction goes through Net Director.

SERVICE OF PROCESS ENHANCEMENTS
A new notification id is systematically assigned to each unique combination of pool party and address. CaseMax systematically generates, indexes, and sends the service package for each notification id to the Summons Delivery Company. CaseMax also uses the notification id to process information returned from the Summons Delivery Company, to notify the law firm of service attempts and to update the pool for service completion.

SYSTEMATICALLY UPDATE EDITABLE PDF FORMS
  • Download editable pdf files such as those for Bankruptcy
  • Associate the pdf with existing Data Sources
  • Map Data Source fields (merge fields) to fields in the pdf
  • Use the document merge wizard to generate pdf forms with the field values populated from the casefile/process
  • Handle the generated pdf just like a document generated from Word

COLLECTION ENHANCEMENTS FOR CLIENT BILLS
Client Bills introduced a new way to think about CaseMax data. Currently only available for collection files, Client Bills are generated by client not by Process. This means periodic bills, typically monthly bills can be produced for each Client and the bill will list all the fees, costs, time entries and remittance amounts since the last bill.

New wizards were developed to create the bill and to search for previous bills. The document templates require specialized data sources and because the bills are generated around a date range, bills can be processed as a batch. Receipts for payments may also be generated in batches and sent to each individual payer. If you are thinking about using CaseMax for collections these enhancements move our support of the process away from the specific and narrow requirement of a single client and into a more universal approach.

Feature 25125 – Enhance Standard Event Transaction to Support Notes
- Save time and reduce errors when updating clients
  • Increase number of standard events that can be systematically completed by using the new default note values.
  • Systematically send Notes to clients on LoanSphere from within the workflow or using a new wizard.

    • Control the content of specific types of notes that may be sent to the client using the standard event integration, Add Note, or in chronologies.

Feature 45455 - Systematically Send Standard Events to ADR using direct integration via Quandis
- Increase accuracy when reporting events to ADR
- Save time and money by using this direct integration to ADR
  • No integration charges
    • This feature requires a direct integration with ADR via Quandis
  • Reduced manual activities in ADR

Feature 47029 – Pacer searches using CourtApi
- Reduce cost of Pacer searches by using the CourtApi integration
  • Behavior is identical to existing NetDirector integration
- Prepare your Firm to take advantage of other CourtApi integrations in the future.

Feature 51991 – Send and Receive Issue Transaction
- Decrease time spent manually updating LoanSphere by systematically sending and receiving Issue transactions.

Feature 44820 – Allow Business rules for Budget Items to be based on the Document Sent/Recorded/Filed
- Reduce Billing Errors by using rules based on the document that is being mailed.

SOFTWARE UPDATES
The 18.3.4 CaseMax release requires ProVantage 10.6.2.403 with schema 20190503. Please ensure your firm is using this version, at a minimum, if you intend to use accounting integrations with ProVantage.

Workpoint version 3.52.37 corrects a bug that only the base table is exported when exporting library objects with the archives service. This bug was created by a change in release 3.52.34.

Change to the Work Queue Page: CaseMax is changing the behavior of the work queue page with a System Configuration WQ: Display Servicer Event Due Date. If you would like to change the behavior of your CaseMax work queue to display the servicer event due date, please see User Story 53125 for the SQL to run to make this system configuration true. If you take no action the system will continue to display the earliest of either the firm due date or the servicer due date.

USER INTERFACE CONFIGURATIONS
Additional labels on the Bids and Results page have been added to the User Interface Configuration maintenance table. In addition, a new field called Bidder Deposit Held By has been added to both the Bids and Results page and the Sales and Results page. CaseMax will provide seed data values for Firm, Clerk, and Vendor on the new maintenance page for this field. Firms will be allowed to add new values also. See User Story 53198 for all the details.

The Document Tracking Summary page is being added to the UI Configuration maintenance table to support the way firms interact with other parties for external reviews. Firms will have the ability to display or hide and change the label for the Received On field on the standard document detail page. The User Story is 53238.

NEW WORK POINT SCRIPTS AND PREDICATES
Many new work point scripts and predicates are created in this release, as they are in most releases. For example, User Story 53611 creates a Send Later version of 3 scripts that allows transactions to be sent outside of Workpoint. These were added to minimize the chance of the database transaction timing out. They require updates to the agent script for generating the ADR, Pull Pacer and Hold requests.
